Product Owner (Remote)

Summary 

The Product Owner will be responsible for creating effective operational processes, delivering high quality business systems, and managing efforts prioritization of tactical items on these strategic roadmaps. As a Product Owner, you will constantly thinks through the processes and identifies process optimization opportunities for products that ingest and scan large volumes of documents and data. The Product Owner will execute the product strategy and ensure an efficient and error-free experience for our clients. Our ideal candidate will enjoy solving problems, be curious and collaborative, and are eager to learn new things. 

Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the performance and growth of the Agile team.
  • Represent the team to external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding of progress.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and redesign.
  • Partner with teams to build, prioritize and define workflows and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
  • Perform competitive analysis and market research.
  • Create and maintain a near-term and long-term product roadmap.

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years of experience as a product Owner or similar role directing the efforts of developers as a project manager or product owner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience.  
  • Certification in Epic (PB/HB, Claims, or Access) is preferred.
  • Experience in revenue cycle is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile/SCRUM project management concepts.
  • Experience with Epic and Atlassian.
  • Ability to identify what raw data should be tagged from contributing systems and how to drive the work towards creating dashboards and reports.
  • Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and complex problems.
  • Excellent prioritization, logical deduction and organizational skills.
  • Ability to innovate in a fast-growing work environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is an excellent team player.
  • Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) skills.
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a dynamic and constantly changing environment of a startup.
  • Has fun, celebrates success, and contributes to a positive culture!
  • Experience working at health system or healthcare technology company preferred.
  • Experience working at a software as a service (SaaS) company preferred.
  • Experience working in a high growth environment preferred.  

Travel Requirements 

This role does require domestic travel.  These travel expectations will be communicated by the department manager or executive. Janus is committed to providing as much flexibility and advanced notice as possible related to scheduling travel. 

Physical Demands 

This job operated in a professional remote or in-office environment. This job uses standard office equipment. This job is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee has the flexibility to move as needed. Constantly operates a computer, phone, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. The employee frequently communicates with internal and/or external people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a timely manner. Must be able to recognize objects from short and long distances.
