Sales Engineer – Revenue Cycle (Remote)

The Sales Engineer will actively support the build and execution of the overall sales approach to our Health System customers to drive revenue for our business. By serving as a solution focused and consultative growth resource, you will help further our mission of empowering health systems and its operational workforce to achieve more and reduce the cost of care nationwide. As an entrepreneurial, data-driven problem solver, you will identify and educate prospects on the overall value of our end-to-end platform.  


  • Serve as product SMEs for the Growth Team including: 
    • Build and maintenance of product value projection models through collaboration with Account Management and Product Owners 
    • Develop and execute on product training including initial onboarding and updates around new feature functionality for Growth Team 
    • Serve as integration expertise for prospect IT teams through sales process
    • Demonstrate the Janus platform to our customers and support selling through working with Product Marketing and Account Management to build compelling Case Studies and other collateral
  • Collaborate with all levels of customer prospect leadership (manager-CFO) to develop and communicate value models specific to the prospect environment
  • Work with Account Management to establish customer contract risk sharing opportunities based on product performance and value creation
  • Support the growth team through later stage funnel activities, including deal design, value creation and closure of deals
  • Leverage Janus’ consultative selling approach and work directly with customers to architect the value of the Janus solution
  • Research and understand each prospect environment and strategic initiatives to best align Janus’ solutions and make recommendations on software application
  • Attend industry events and network with potential customers
  • Partner with Marketing and Product to relay market feedback relative to our capabilities and messaging as a reflection of the voice of the customer
  • Support the team to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Document all selling activities in Salesforce 


  • 3+ years of consultative selling experience preferred. 
  • 4-6 years of experience in technology, enterprise healthcare technology solutions, SaaS, or Healthcare Consulting preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.  
  • Experience selling to C-Suite executive and revenue cycle VP/CRO/Director levels. 
  • Experience working with complex Health Systems either through consulting or selling activities strongly preferred. 
  • Excellent prioritization, logical deduction and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to innovate in a fast-growing work environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity. 
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is an excellent team player. 
  • Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) skills; demonstrated experience in communicating value to customers. 
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a dynamic and constantly changing environment of a startup. 
  • Has fun, celebrates success, and contributes to a positive culture! 
  • Intermediate level acumen of revenue cycle operations preferred 
  • Experience working at health system or healthcare technology company preferred. 
  • Experience working at a software as a service (SaaS) company preferred. 
  • Experience working in a high growth environment preferred.  

Travel Requirements 

This role does require domestic travel. These travel expectations will be communicated by the department manager or executive. Janus is committed to providing as much flexibility and advanced notice as possible related to scheduling travel. 

Physical Demands 

This job operated in a professional remote or in-office environment. This job uses standard office equipment. This job is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee has the flexibility to move as needed. Constantly operates a computer, phone, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. The employee frequently communicates with internal and/or external people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a timely manner. Must be able to recognize objects from short and long distances.
